In line with Government advice (updated 05/01/21) and awarding body guidelines, FIT UK will not be offering face to face appointments or delivering classroom-based commercial courses until further notice. However, our team have worked hard to put together a selection of exciting courses which can be delivered remotely so you can continue to add to your CV in these challenging times.
We want to make sure that even though we are practising social distancing and/or home working, you can use this time to boost your skills with our new, remote learning courses. Digital skills are becoming more important than ever, and our courses will help you build these essential skills while increasing your employability.
FIT UK Apprenticeship programmes
FIT UK continue to support all our apprentices and employers by providing remote delivery, allowing the apprentices to progress through their apprenticeship standard. We continually work closely with all awarding bodies to adhere to remote learning and assessment flexibilities so not to disadvantage the apprentice progress of learning.
What remote learning is available?
Our learners are given access to pre-recorded video’s explaining the lesson for the week. They are invited to also have an individual online zoom if they need further clarity. All resources to complete the task are added to their Google drive file along with the video. Those apprentices that do not feel confident in Google can have it sent on an email and video uploaded to YouTube for ease.
Timetables to Off the Job hours and working from home arrangements will be planned in collaboration with the apprentice, employer, and FIT UK tutor
Details of virtual learning platforms?
FIT UK use a suit of virtual learning platforms and digital learning resources in partnership with our awarding bodies (Active IQ, NCFE). We use digital management systems such as IPEGS, OneFile, Stedfast and DocuSign to provide employer contract of services agreements and assist in the completion of all apprenticeship enrolment processes.
Google drive is utilised to online learning. Apprentices upload all their work for marking and feedback is attached to each piece of work via comments. BKSB is also utilised for functional skills.
Arrangements for assessment and exams?
Assessments are conducted where needed by expert witness statement in the education sector such as their class tutor, if a direct observation cannot take place by assessor for framework and EPA for standard.
